Key Stage 2-3 Transition
Moving from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 is a big upheaval for many children. Good liaison between secondary schools and their feeder primary schools is an important part of the equation. These pages are intended to help those with this responsibility in considering the best way to support children making the change from primary to secondary science.

This is approached by considering the following:
progression - process skill development betwen KS2 and KS3
strategies - approaches to smoothing the transition
good practice - encouraging consistent approaches to science across the transition
data handling - examining the use of graphs at the transition stages
activities - an example topic for use in transition, some help with graphs
