CCI National Report
Teachers and pupils involved in the CCI Project were asked to contribute their views to research into its effectiveness, and have given CCI a big thumbs up. The research was carried out between 2006 and 2008, and is described in a new national report, available in the research section.
Project Expansion
CCI expands even further, as we now have an advisory teacher to work in Cumbria. Jonathan Barton took up this post in October 2008. We also have a new post, Industry Liaison Coordinator. Joanne Rout took up this post in February 2009, and covers the North-East, as well as providing some support for the Yorkshire and Humber region.
CCI and SATs Results
Children at many schools have improved their performance in Key Stage 2 SATs since being involved in the CCI project. The most notable improvement has been in questions relating to investigations, and staff notice that children become more independent in their learning.

Children Benefit from Long-Term Commitment
Ciba Speciality Chemicals has now been involved with the CCI project for almost 6 years. In addition to site visits, the company also run competitions and host 'bring your child to work' events, which have been a huge success.
Everyone benefits from a strengthening of releationships between schools, the company and the wider community.
