This section is for teachers starting out using industry links in primary science. Individuals can work through the online activities, or they can be used during staff Inset.
The sequence of activities:
- encourages teachers to consider the value of linking classroom science with that used every day in industry
- encourages teachers to reflect upon the wide range of views of industry held by children and adults, some positive and some negative
- provides advice on forging closer links with local businesses, choosing suitable topics, inviting ‘industry ambassadors’ into school, or taking children to visit industry.
